THE TORONTO CHINESE CANADIAN FILM FESTIVAL PRESENTS
Honoring outstanding contributions to global Chinese cinema
About the Awards
The Jade Maple Film Honors Awards, established by the Toronto Chinese Canadian Film Festival, recognize film professionals in global Chinese cinema who have made outstanding contributions to the art of filmmaking. The maple leaf symbolizes Canada’s multiculturalism; jade, a rare and cherished Chinese gem, stands for talent and excellence. The award carries three missions.
Through the art of film, we advance the spirit and philosophy of Chinese culture, showcasing the profound depth of Eastern aesthetics to the world.
We pay tribute to the pioneers of the film industry, whose lifelong dedication has shaped new horizons in cinema and nurtured future generations, ensuring the continuity of the craft.
As a key platform for Chinese cinema in North America, Toronto Chinese Canadian Film Festival seeks to build bridges between Eastern and Western film cultures through this award, allowing the artistic value of cinema to gain global recognition.
Not just an accolade — a legacy of mission. Together, let us witness the legends of Chinese cinema continue to shine on the world stage.
