This website is operated by Toronto Chinese Canadian Film Festival (“TCCFF,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), an Ontario not-for-profit corporation. This policy applies to tccff.ca and the services we provide through this website.

We collect only the information needed to operate and improve the website:

• Newsletter information: your email address, the consent you gave, the signup time, and limited technical information such as your IP address for fraud prevention and consent records.
• Messages you send us: information you choose to include when you contact us by email.
• Optional website measurements: if you allow analytics, anonymous page-view, device, approximate location, referrer, and performance data provided by Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights.
• Technical logs: hosting and security logs that may include IP addresses, browser details, requested pages, and timestamps.

We do not offer user accounts and we do not collect payment details on this website.

• To operate, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot the website.
• To send festival news when you have expressly subscribed.
• To respond to enquiries and requests.
• To understand site use and improve accessibility, content, and performance.
• To meet legal obligations and protect our rights and community.

We do not sell personal information.

The site does not use advertising cookies. Our analytics provider is designed to work without cookies. We still ask before loading analytics or performance measurement tools. Your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage so we can remember it.

You can change that choice at any time using Privacy settings in the footer. Clearing this site’s browser data will clear the saved choice.

We use providers that help us host the website, manage content, store newsletter signups, prevent abuse, and measure performance. These currently include Vercel, Sanity, Supabase, and Upstash. They process information for us under their own security and privacy commitments and may process it outside Canada.

Links to ticketing, social media, video, sponsor, and partner websites take you to services we do not operate. Their privacy policies apply once you leave this site.

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, including legal, accounting, security, and dispute-resolution needs. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

You may withdraw newsletter consent at any time using the unsubscribe instructions in our messages. You may also ask to access or correct your personal information, or ask questions about how it is handled, by emailing info@tccff.ca.

This website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
